Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera is to visit the Maldives on Wednesday for the third session of the Joint Commission meetings between the two nations.
The agreement, signed in 1984, aims to bridge economic and technical developments between neighboring states, and the last meeting was held in 2014.
In addition to leading the delegation to the Joint Meeting discussions, held on 8th and 9th of this month, Minister Samaraweera will also meet with President Yamin Abdul Gayoom and engage in talks with members of the local cabinet.
The Maldivian delegation is to be led by Foreign Minister Mohamed Asim, and the two parties will discuss health, education, defense, and various economic goals
