Bank of Maldives (BML) has expanded their operations in Fuvahmulah and opened up a Self Service Banking (ATM Center) in the island.
The Center was opened up in the island as part of the “Aharenge Bank” initiative started by the Bank.
With the opening up of the Center, Bank’s customers have the opportunity to transfer and deposit cheques, 24 hours a day. The Center was launched by BML Deputy CEO and Director of Operations Mohamed Shareef held in the island today.
Speaking at the ceremony, Shareef said that they were delighted to launch the new Self Service Banking Center in the island. He said they had recognized the island as a main population centers in the country and the need to further expand services in the area to cater to the needs of individuals and businesses.
With a nationwide network of 31 branches across the nation, 78 ATMs, 4000 POS merchants, 190 cash agents, 20 Self Service Banking Centers and five dhoni banking units, BML provides a wide range of services spanning both physical, digital and online banking services.
The “Aharenge Bank” initiative was spearheaded by the Bank to develop and strengthen the relationship between the bank and their clients. The bank had recently increased their investments in the country by two fold, with an additional MVR 300 million investments.
