Maldives has again been awarded the title of World’s Best Spa Destination at the 4th annual World Spa Awards.
The event was held at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort on October 26 and was attended by hundreds of industry leaders from around the world.
The Maldives Tourism Industry also won prestigious awards in various other categories at the event.
Maldives competed against other world class destinations such as Thailand, Hawaii, Mauritius, Australia, Seychelles, USA and UAE for the awards.
Launched in 2015, World Spa Awards is focused on the rapidly evolving spa and wellness sector and is designed to drive up standards within spa tourism by rewarding leaders in the field.
In a press release, Maldives Marketing & PR Corporation stated that winning these awards will enhance the image of Maldives as a high-profile luxury destination and that it indicates the visitors' love and confidence towards the Maldives.
