Oman Air, the national airline of Oman which halted it's flights to Maldives in 2016, is to commence it's flights to Maldives from Muscat, Oman's port capital.

According to some International media outlets which have cited the Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, Abdulaziz Al Raisi, the airline is to start their flight roster to Maldives from Muscat commencing from 28th of October.

According to the airline, they are to use their new Boeing 737 Max flights from Muscat to Maldives. These aircrafts include 12 business class seats.

The airline had further given European tourists travelling to the Maldives invitation to choose Oman Air for travelling and offered to stop over at Oman.

Oman Air which began it's flights to Maldives from Muscat in 2009, had halted it's flights to the country in 2016 due to business issues. The company had back then said that they had no deliberations to resume flights to Maldives.
