Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has launched a mobile banking application named "Faisa Mobile".
"Faisa Mobile" was launched by guest of honor at the ceremony held at Hotel Jen on Tuesday night, Maldives Monetary Authority's Governor Ahmed Naseer.
Governor Naseer speaking in the ceremony said that this app will bring conveniece to customers and the use of money in cash will be minimized, adding that difficulties faced by the use of cash will be significantly decreased with the launch of this application.
With the services that come under this application, customers can check their bank balance and transaction history through the application, make transfers to accounts of MIB and other banks alike as well as view details of financing facilies and status of cheque clearance as well as report stolen or missing cheques.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, MIB's acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ahmed Riza said that the bank's aim is to promote Maldivian products, noting that the application is a genuine Maldivian product.
While "Faisa Mobile" can be used on both IOS and Android phones, the application is available on App Store and Google Play Store.
