Local restaurant Yellow Submarine, which opened in capital city Malé two months ago, offers a wide range of dishes, but their bestselling special is very close to home.
Smoked-fish is consumed heavily across the country and Maldivians have such an affinity to it that it is used in nearly every local dish. Yellow Submarine’s sales have reflected this affinity.
Yellow Submarine’s General-Manager Hussein Riyaz said that the bestselling items on their menu have been their smoked-fish submarine-sandwiches, chicken submarine-sandwiches, and beef submarine-sandwiches.
Riyaz said that sauces and mayonnaise used in their food are made at the restaurant itself and follow local recipes. He further expressed confidence that they have the best prices in the market.
Yellow Submarine began their delivery services on April 7th.
