Ooredoo Maldives has launched a version of its ‘Ooredoo Next’ platform compatible with popular instant messaging application, Viber.
The telecommunications company launched their Viber-compatible version of the digital engagement platform at an event on Wednesday night.
Ooredoo Maldives was the first company to have created a ‘public chat’, after Viber – which is widely used in the Maldives and has about 980 million registered worldwide – launched the feature, two years ago.
In September last year, Ooredoo Maldives launched ‘Ooredoo Next’, saying would routinize the pre-paid mobile market.
The telecommunications provider initially launched Ooredoo Next along for social networking platform Facebook’s ‘Messenger’ application.
Ooredoo Maldives said that the digital interaction platform will help users to easily engage with Ooredoo through Facebook in order to ‘chect best offers, data add-ons, and manage other services’.
