Grandmother of Vice President Abdullah Jihad has passed away.

VP Jihad’s grandmother, Hawwa fulhu, passed away at 97 years old, at around 10am on Sunday.

Sources close to the family reported that she had been seeking treatment in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for months.

Funeral prayers are to be held after Isha prayers on Sunday.

At the time, the Vice President is in Dubai for the Maldives Investment Forum.
