Maldives Police Service (MPS) has reported that the missing foreign employee of Centara Grand Island Resort was found.

Police media official reported that the employee’s corpse was discovered just off of Mahibadhoo island in Alif Dhaal Atoll and reported at around 10.50am on Thursday. Police had confirmed that the deceased was the missing individual.

The deceased was first reported missing on Monday at 05.34pm.

Coastguard’s Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) had launched search for the deceased immediately. The Chinese National was reported missing after going free-diving on the north side of the resort.

The 25-year-old man is five feet and fair-skinned was last seen wearing a dark blue ScubaPro Shorty Wetsuit.
