Less than a month after his appointment as Managing Director of the Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC), Shafau Hassan has been dismissed from the post.
Mohamed Nizar, president of the Privatization and Corporatization Board, confirmed Shafau's dismissal via twitter on Tuesday.
Today PCB has dismissed Managing Director of MRDC Mohamed Shafau Hassan, M.Rivelige.

He was appointed to the post on November 7.
Prior to this appointment, Shafau was the Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at the Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB). He had previously filled the post of Assistant Manager at the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA).
He was appointed after Mohamed Nimal's resignation from the post in June this year. He was appointed in March, after his predecessor Abdul RAzzaq Haleem's appointment as the head of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL).
Following Nimal's resignation, Ahmed Mamdhooh was the acting MD.
