The government’s proposed state budget for 2018 is ‘simply put’ exploitation and extortion, said MP Mairya Ahmed Didi.

At the opposition’s panel discussion for 2018’s budget, said that the writing included in budget-related documents is vague and secretive.

She further said that the budget is indicative of the government’s poor planning and is not based on the reality of the situation in the country.

“It does not take into account our economy’s health, our society’s standards and completely isolates the people because its vague and deliberately confidential” MP Mariya said.

The lawmaker said that this prove to deter foreign investment through loss of trust.
