Former Housing Minister Mohamed Aslam has said that incumbent President Abdulla Yameen is displaying the characteristics of a dictator, by challenging the people.
Speaking on RaajjeTV's special programme to mark the fourth anniversary of the current administration on Friday night, Aslam criticized the President's comments regarding what his government has done for the people.
He added that the President questioning the people whether they were "still testing (him)" was a disgrace.
Furthermore, the former minister also criticized the President for "dissing" former presidents, adding that "a leader should not have such qualities".
Aslam added that President Yameen "will make even more promises within the next eight months".
Noting that "these are not promises," the former housing minister emphasized that this is a charade being put up as the end of his five-year term approaches.
