A blooper was found in this year’s budget, which stated that the state would generate 3.14 trillion.

For next year, the total budget was set at MVR 27.9 billion.

The 21^st page of the budget shows that MVR 3.14 trillion is expected as General Goods and Services Tax (G-GST).

This is a record amount in the nation’s history. Based on an estimate of MVR 25 billion per annum budget, this figure is equivalent to a budget for 126 years.

In comparison, India passed a budget of MVR 5.1 trillion for 2017 – 2018.
