Deputy parliamentary group leader of the ruling party, Ibrahim Falaah has purchased land in the capital Malé City.
The Inguraidhoo constituency representative had purchased the 1,000 square feet land, previously owned by Ahmed Rasheed of Dhaftharu 8, for just MVR 4,000,000.
The sale was done through the Civil Court, who last Thursday declared it legal after Falaah paid the whole amount.
"With this dealing, the Court declares that Ibrahim Falaah from Simlaa of R. Inguraidhoo, is now the sole proprietor of Maafannu Al Hadheedh," reads the ruling.
The lawmaker had recently acquired a speed launch, naming it 'Asuruma Express', after the ruling party's official flower.
Recently, Falaah has been seen as the most outspoken against the opposition; even throwing personal attacks at them including former President and elected leader of the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.
