Anas, who had worked on a speedboat, was stabbed to death by a group of masked assailants on the 31st of July. CCTV footage shows him running into Litus Service Center in attempt to flee from his attackers. The brutal attack took place inside the garage.

Police had also launched a manhunt for two suspects in connection to the murder, Mohamed Shaaz and Afrah Abdul Razzaq. They have since been arrested while in hiding, but the state is yet to raise any charges against the two.
