Streets of the nation would be much safer is justice is established, says Mahchangolhi North Constituency MP Mariya Ahmed Didi.
Speaking in the rally held in Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) on Sunday night, MP Mariya said convicted criminals were let loose with full understanding of the current environment of stabbing. She said the Court rulings deliberately contradicts what is 'just'.
MP Mariya said citizens have to be aware of the current political situation going into 2018, adding they will not allow polling stations to be placed, unless free and fair elections are guaranteed.
The long serving Parliamentarian said the Government’s intentions smacked of hypocrisy. Indicating their no-show response to the R2P motion in UN, MP Mariya said there was no sincerity in running a fund for Rohingya Muslims.
MP Mariya called on all to participate in the rally to be held on Friday by the joint opposition.
