While three suspects have been arrested over Saturday night's fatal stabbing, police said that "all three were actively involved in the attack".

Police said this in a press release issued on Sunday, also revealing that a total of three individuals were injured in the attack.

Police said that the 19-year-old had died due to the injuries sustained, adding that a 24-year-old and a minor were injured in the attack as well.

"All three were taken to IGMH for treatment. The 19-year-old died while receiving treatment. The 24-year-old is still receiving treatment at IGMH while the minor has been treated and discharged from the hospital," reads the statement.

Furthermore, MPS said that they have been taking the necessary steps to ensure a safe environment for the people.

While police said that the 19-year-old had died while receiving treatment, a family member told RaajjeMV that he was pronounced dead on arrival.
