Chef Ahmed Fatheen has acquired the finalist position at the ‘Master of Seasoning’ competition held in Dubai.

Fatheen had prepared an appetizer, a sandwich, and a main course meal at the final round. His main course included suis-vide beef with wild mushrooms.

Fatheen was nominated to participate in the competition after rivaling nine chefs in the Maldives.

The competition, organized by German food company ‘Knorr’, was held from September 17th to the 21st.

BestBuy Maldives is collaborating with Unilever – Knorr’s parent company – in order to organize the competition.

The company, which is also Knorr’s distributer in the country, had congratulated Fatheen.

"The young and talented Chef Fatheen has competed and beaten some of the most renowned chefs from Countries such as Egypt, Sri Lanka and Pakistan" the company said. 

Chefs from nine countries in the Middle East and Asia competed in the competition.
