RaajjeTV postpones Rohingya telethon
Telethon amassing widespread support

RaajjeTV has postponed the planned telethon to assist Rohingya Muslims facing persecution in Myanmar.

The telethon initially planned for Friday, will now be held on Sunday, for a period of 24 hours and will begin at 2.30pm.

The decision was taken to allow more participants to join in the effort.

RaajjeTV Chief Operating Officer Hussain Fiyaz Moosa reported that the telethon was amassing massive support and that many were approaching to become partners in the telethon.

‘The date was postponed on request of companies, organizations and individuals who wanted to contribute. As this was the Eid holidays, most had requested to increase the opportunity,’ Fiyaz said.

Companies, organizations and council can participate in the telethon. Other groups and artists can even register as partners of the telethon.
