The Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has revealed that 142 foreigners had entered Rasrani Bageecha from Friday to Tuesday, generating a total of MVR 10,650.
While locals can enter the park for free, foreigners will be charged an entry fee of MVR 75 on weekdays and MVR 100 from 4 pm to 11 pm on weekends and public holidays. They are to be charged MVR 75 from 6 am to 4 pm on weekends.
In a tweet sent out on Wednesday night, the Housing Ministry said that "an adequate number of foreigners are entering Rasrani Bageecha after purchasing tickets".
Modelled according to traditional Maldivian architecture, Rasrani Bageecha is the former Sultan Park. It was inaugurated by President Abdulla Yameen and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim on August 21.
Some of the notable features in "the edutainment and heritage concept park" include, 180 Art Deck, Amphitheater, and the huge water fountain with the tree house.
