The National Award for Special Achievement has been conferred to 40 recipients.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu conferred medals and citations to the recipients during the official ceremony held to mark Republic Day, at Dharubaaruge on Sunday.

The awards were conferred in recognition of their exceptional accomplishments in higher education and training.

The awards honored individuals for significant accomplishments in progressing through the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) of the Maldives.

This year, two individuals were honored for achieving the prestigious Level 10 in the NQF and 38 individuals were recognized for reaching Levels 7, 8, or 9.

Dr. Aishath Shina and Dr. Khadeeja Rasheed were particularly commended for their remarkable academic achievements at Level 10.

The 38 recipients of the National Award for Special Achievement for reaching Levels 7, 8, or 9 of the NQF include:
