President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has offered condolences following the passing of Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi.
In a message of condolence shared on social media, the president said that he joins in mourning the loss of Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi, daughter of Sumuvvul Ameer Ibrahim Faamudheyri Kilegefaanu , and has extended deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
Shedding light on her services to the education sector of the Maldives, the Maldivian leader praised her efforts in advancing opportunities for women.
Further, Muizzu went on to emphasize her several contributions to the government in the field of foreign relations.
Muizzu prayed for Allah to grant mercy and forgiveness to the departed, and for the late Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi to be blessed with eternal bliss in heaven.
Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi was one of the four daughters of Ibrahim Faamudheyri Kilegefaanu, also known as Al-Ameer Ibrahim Ali Didi (Prime Minister).
Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi passed away after a battle with an illness.
She died at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) some time on Saturday afternoon while receiving treatment.
She was 68 years old at the time of her passing.
Her funeral prayer was held after Maghrib prayer at Masjid al-Ta'awuni, Aasahara Mosque on Saturday.
