President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has concluded his trip to attend the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79) in New York City, U.S.

The Maldivian leader returned home on Sunday morning.

As part of his trip to the U.S. the Maldivian leader delivered a speech at the 79th UNGA session, also known as the Leaders' Summit.

Further, he addressed the UN Security Council during the trip.

This marked the first time a Maldivian President has addressed the UN Security Council since the Maldives became a member of the UN.

During the visit the president also delivered several important speeches on various topics.

He played a leading role as a co-chair in some significant meetings held on the sidelines of UNGA 79 as well.

In addition to this, Muizzu sat down for talks with leaders of various delegations who attended UNGA 79.

The Maldivian leader also met with the community of Maldivians residing in NYC.

Prior to the conclusion of his trip, Muizzu delivered a speech at Princeton University's Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.

Muizzu also visited the Google office in New York. He headed to NYC on September 20.

He was accompanied by a delegation of high-level government officials during the trip.
