President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's advisor and prominent businessman Mohamed Ali Janah has been given an expansive plot of land in Hulhumalé, the capital city’s suburban extension.

Janah holds the positions of Principal Advisor to the President on Trade and Investment for Muizzu, who assumed office in November 2023.

RaajjeMV understands that Janah has been given a plot of land that measures approximately 100,000 square feet.

The land, located next to the Ooredoo building in Hulhumalé, is approximately 300,000 square feet in total.

RaajjeMV understands that the plan is to construct a mall, a convention center and real estate development facilities, on the expansive plot of land given to Janah in Hulhumalé.

RaajjeMV has also learned that the work will be contracted to a major Qatari company involved in such projects.

RaajjeMV’s attempts to get a comment from Fazul Rasheed, Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation (HDC) in connection with the matter, were to no avail as he failed to answer the station’s calls at the time of publishing.
