The spouse of a Minister at the President’s Office Abdulla Nasir has landed a senior position at the Maldives’ Embassy in Turkey.
Spokesperson at the President’s Office, Heena Waleed told RaajjeMV that Aishath Raihana was appointed as the Special Counsel to the Ambasador.
Heena added that the appointment was made on 30 April 2024.
Raihana earlier served as a deputy minister at Mulee’aage, the official residence of the president and first lady.
The government no longer regularly discloses information about political appointments, leaving the total number of political positions in the incumbent administration unclear.
