The Maldives Police Service (MPS) is locating a suspect required to be presented before court.
The police institution revealed that the suspect is wanted in connection with a case filed at the Criminal Court.
The publication was issued as the authorities’ efforts to locate the suspect have been to no avail so far.
The court has ordered MPS to locate the man and take him into police custody.
Being located in connection with the case lodged at the Criminal Court, is Asif Ahmed Didi, 30 and native to capital Malé City.
He is accused of being involved in cannabis trafficking.
The suspect is to be taken into police custody and presented before court at 10:30am on August 4.
The public has been urged to reach out to the Police Custodial Department through 9991442 if any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect, is attained.
