The High Commissioner of Maldives to Malaysia has presented credentials.
Dr. Mariyam Shabeena Ahmed presented her Letters of Credence to the King of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim on Tuesday.
The credentials ceremony was held at Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur.
Following the ceremony, High Commissioner Shabeena was received in audience by the Malaysian King.
The meeting saw the Maldivian high commissioner extending warm greetings and best wishes from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to the Malaysia King for his good health, as well as for the peace, prosperity and happiness of the people of Malaysia.
Congratulating the Maldivian high commissioner on her appointment, the Malaysian King assured her that the government of Malaysia will extend full support and cooperation to her, in carrying out her duties and responsibilities as the high commissioner.
Expressing gratitude to the people and government of Malaysia for their support, High Commissioner Shabeena expressed hope that the long-standing friendly relations between Maldives and Malaysia would continue to grow.
High Commissioner Shabeena was accompanied by Minister Counsellor Aishath Samaha.
