Ooredoo Maldives has wrapped up a wide array of colorful festivities to commemorate Eid-al-Adha 1445, in collaboration with several islands across the Maldives.

This was done with the aim of planning activities to involve as many people as possible, in celebration of the joyous occasion of Eid-al-Adha.

Among the vibrant festivities to commemorate Eid included an “Ooredoo Eid Hadhiyaa” event, which saw teams from the telecommunications giant distributing Eid gifts to children across the Maldives.

Further, as part of the “NCA Bodu Eid 1445” event, Ooredoo Maldives collaborated with the National Center for the Arts to bring smiles and happiness to the residents of capital Malé City by hosting a number of activities.

Ooredoo also carried out several colorful activities in Landhoo island of Noonu atoll, featuring several cultural and traditional activities such as ‘Langiri’ and a ‘Maali’ parade.

As part of the “Emmen Ekugaa Kendhoo Eid Ufaa” festival, Ooredoo organized a special “bubble show” for children alongside several other fun-filled games, cultural dances and other unique activities.

During the “Eid Kulhisamaa 1445” event in Naifaru island of Lhaviyani atoll, Ooredoo arranged for the island community as well as visitors to enjoy several entertaining activities including fun games like ‘Bashi’, a relay race, a ‘Maali’ parade, the traditional ‘Bodu Beru’ and a stage show.

Ooredoo also hosted a Kids Color Festival in Eydhafushi island of Baa atoll, where children got to play with foam, splash in small water pools, and chase each other around with water guns.

The telecom provider also held a gathering to celebrate ‘Eid Tea’, which saw the participation of Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts Ibrahim Waheed.

During the vibrant activities held in the capital city, throngs of people gathered onto the streets during vehicle-ban hours in the evening to enjoy activities such as a Maali parade from the Maldives Correctional Service, ‘Koadi’, ‘Dhafi Negun’, as well as a stage show after sundown.

NCA hosted the events in partnership with Ooredoo Maldives as Main Partner, STO People's Choice, Regional Airports Company Limited, Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC), Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage, Maldives Airports Company (MACL), Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM), Maldives Police Service (MPS), Maldives Girl Guides Association (MGGA), Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO), FENAKA Corporation, State Electric Company (STELCO), Maldive Gas, Maldives Correctional Service, Malé City Council, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
