The final chance to collect the land registries of those who were given land plots by the previous administration, has been announced.
The Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development revealed that the land registries of a total of 8,394 plots as well as the document confirming the issuance of the plot, have been handed over under the Binveriyaa scheme, so far.
The ‘Binveriyaa’ scheme comes under the ‘Gedhoruverin’ programme launched by the former administration to address the housing crisis facing the residents of the Greater Malé Region.
In addition to signing the agreement and handing over the registration for the plots to be issued under the scheme, additional opportunities were given to those who have not been handed over the land ownership document, however, it was revealed that most of them did not turn up to collect the registration or the land ownership document.
Therefore, it has been decided to give a final opportunity for those who are yet to receive their land ownership documents as well as registries, to sign the agreement and collect the registries as well as the relevant documents.
The ministry has opened the opportunity from March 16 to March 27.
Recipients may make an appointment to collect their registries or documents through the ‘Hiyaavahi’portal.
