Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC) has commenced the construction work of the new Auditor General's Office building.
Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef broke ground on Sunday at the site of the new Auditor General's Office building.
The ceremony was held in Hulhumalé Phase I on Sunday.
The construction of the new Auditor General's Office building was awarded to MTCC.
The project entails the construction of a six-story building featuring adequate workspace, a daycare facility for staff to use, parking space, a library as well as a conference hall to host training sessions and other events.
The ceremony was attended by Auditor General Hussain Niyazy, Minister of Construction & Infrastructure Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, and MTCC’s CEO Abdulla Ziyad.
MTCC expressed pride in being entrusted with the project.
The company gave assurance that the building would be completed with the highest standard of quality.
