The government is currently making efforts to develop the tourism and sports sectors in Alifushi island of Raa atoll, says President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
The president said this while speaking to residents of the island on Saturday.
Taking the podium at the event, the president assured the community that his main focus is to serve the people’s needs and that efforts are underway to develop the tourism and sports sectors in Alifushi.
Touching upon development plans, he noted that he wishes to bring a change and announced that “all” the promises he made under his administration’s ‘Hafthaa 14’ roadmap have been delivered.
The government initiated the air ambulance service on Friday, with which the president revealed that it would allow the people to operationalize the service.
President Muizzu revealed that the administration intends to launch and operate additional initiatives autonomously.
Shedding light on challenges facing the completion of already initiated projects, Muizzu noted that the funds required to complete these projects exceed the allocated budget.
He however noted that alternative sources would be sought to fund those projects and reiterated the administration’s commitment to fulfill pledges made to the people.
