An individual was stabbed in Malé on Monday night, adding to a number of similar attacks across the capital city.
The attack was carried out at around 9:10 pm on Monday night by a group of masked assailants inside Litus Service Center on Hadheebee Magu in the Henveiru Ward of the city.
The assailants are reported to have left the crime scene in three motorcycles.
Eyewitnesses report that the individual was stabbed a number of times on the chest.
"He had multiple stab wounds on his chest. There was a lot of blood. I believe that there is a slim chance of him surviving," an eyewitness told RaajjeMV.
He was taken to ADK Hospital for treatment.
There have been a number of such attacks across the city in the recent days; 24-year-old Nadheem 'Nadey' Abdul Rahman, who was stabbed in the head while inside a café last Thursday, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. Another attack was reported later that night.
