Food Stuff Private Limited, which provides catering and bar services at Centara Ras Fushi, has opened a futsal field in the island resort.

The field was inaugurated by opposition aligned parliamentarian Ahmed Thoriq, who used to be the former president of the Football Association of Maldives.

The resort’s general manager was also present at the inauguration along with senior members of Food Stuff’s staff.

Sofwan Shameem, the representative who spoke on behalf of Food Stuff, said that the field was established under the company’s corporate social responsibility program. He added that he hopes Ras Fushi will host the next national futsal tournament.

The resort staff had played an inauguration match against their counterparts from the Centara Grand Beach Resort. Ras Fushi won the match with a score of 3-2.
