Ahmed Nashath has been appointed as a member of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB).

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu made the appointment on Sunday.

The appointment was made under the authority granted to President Muizzu by the Privatization, Corporatization, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Government Businesses Act.

Nashath was appointed as legal field member of PCB.

The new appointee to PCB attained a Master of Laws in International Law from Middlesex University, UK.

Prior to his appointment as a member of PCB, Nashath served as a State Counsel at the Attorney General’s Office.

Last week, President Muizzu appointed Ahmed Mushthag as a member of Accounting and Finance Sector, Leena Abdul Jaleel as a member in the Banking Sector and Moosa Fathuhy Adam to represent the Business Administration Sector. Hassan Mughnee was also recently appointed as a member of PCB.

Further, Hamdhy Ageel was appointed as the President of PCB, on November 23. Hamdhy Ageel graduated with a Master of Commerce from Australia's Curtin University. He previously held the position of Managing Director at Maldives Road Corporation and also served as the Managing Director of Fuel Supply Maldives.
