Jumhooree Party leader and Maamigilli MP Qasim Ibrahim has on Tuesday attended the Criminal Court for a hearing against him. 

Qasim, who has been immensely ill for the past week, entered court at around 11:00 am. 

He had been receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) after having experienced sudden symptoms of dizziness, nausea, and shortness of breath. 

The parliamentarian is facing allegations of bribery, influencing votes, and the conduct of a public official.
