The three-day ultimate gaming festival wrapped up with a grand ceremony

Ooredoo Maldives has held a grand award ceremony to recognize the eSports champions of the Ooredoo Nation Gamers' Land Awards 2023.

The three-day ultimate gaming festival wrapped up with the grand ceremony on Sunday.

Having featured remarkable skills and fierce competition, the Ooredoo Nation Gamers' Land saw gamers and eSports enthusiasts across the Maldives gathering to celebrate their mutual passion.

The award ceremony kicked off with a cosplay competition that featured 11 participants who enthralled the audience with their talents.

The Best Cosplay was awarded to Ahmed Wisham who participated as TikTok star and social media personality “Fry Boy” and earned well-deserved recognition for his brilliant performance that brought the character to life.

Wisam received a cash prize of MVR 10,000 as the winner of the cosplay competition.

Each showcasing the remarkable skills and gaming expertise within the Maldivian community, the festival featured a series of competitive tournaments.

The tournament winners bagged prestigious titles and cash prizes totaling MVR 185,000.

The winners for the Racing Simulator GT7 Tournament are Aayan Ahmed Shaneez who won first place and took home a cash prize of MVR 11,000, runner-up Ali Ashham Abdul Hameed who was entitled to a cash prize of MVR 8,000 and Ahmed Alwin Asyed Zahir who won MVR 6,000 as the third-place winner.

Ahmed Abaan was the champion of the Tekken Tournament and won MVR 5,000, with Ameel Ismail having won second and secured a cash prize of MVR 3,000. Third place was secured by Ahmed Thaabish who won MVR 2,000.

The top scorer and champion of the EAFC24 Football Gaming Tournament was Mohamed Aiman Ahmed who won a cash prize of MVR 25,000.

Second place was won by Abyan Ali Nihad who took home MVR 10,000 and Mohamed Zameel Zihuny who won MVR 5,000 as third-place winner.

Further, the champion of Ooredoo Nation PUBG Mobile Championship was Team E2S TM7 who was entitled to a cash prize of MVR 50,000.

The second-place winners, Team E2S AKATSUKI, took home MVR 20,000 as their prize.

Team RGC SYNDICATE won MVR 10,000 for third place and Team RGC DENO took home MVR 5,000 as the fourth-place winners.

Haisham Waheed from Team E2S TM7 was crowned the MVP of the tournament and won MVR 1,500.

In addition to this, the event also honored exceptional contributions to the gaming and eSports community with a wide range of special awards under Ooredoo Nation Gamers Award 2023.

These include E2S Gaming who won Best Gaming Organization of the year, Maldives E-Sporting Association (MESA) who won Best Service in Esports, Regicide Esports as Top Achieving Clan of the year, ApexMV as Best Gaming Community of the year (console and PC), PUBGM COMMUNITY as Best Gaming Community of the year (mobile), RGC OPEX as Best Esports Team of the year, Mohamed Haisham Waheedh as Best PUBGM Player of the year, Nabeel Abbas as Best MLBB Player of the year, Zakwan Shihad as Best FC24 Player of the year, Mohamed Shaaif as Best FPS Player of the year and Mohamed Rayyan Mahir as Best Caster of the year.

Chief Guest of the event Secretary General of Olympic Committee, Thamooh Ahmed Saeed and Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Maldives Hussain Niyaz presented the most prestigious awards of the evening including the Best Esports PC Player of the year which was awarded to Hassan Aseel Rasheed, the Best Esports Mobile Player of the year, awarded to Ahmed Mahil Mohamed and the Best Esports Controller Player of the year which was awarded to Mohamed Zameel Zihny.

Ooredoo Nation Gamers' Land Awards 2023 were a testimony to the growing gaming community across the archipelago nation and mirrored the dedication of gamers, teams, and eSports organizations.
