RaajjeMV understands that the Parliament session for next Monday will not be held.
The Committee on General Affairs is to convene on Thursday to allot a time for the no confidence motion vote but the Committee meeting has been cancelled.
No reason had been given for the cancellation.
While the no confidence motion is yet to be scheduled, ruling Progressive Party of the Maldives (PPM) formally dismissed four MPs from the Party, with the intention to nullify their Parliament seats.
PPM PG Leader Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik on Tuesday night said that MPs Mohamed Waheed Ibrahim, Mohamed Ameeth, Saud Hussain and Abdul Latheef Mohamed had been removed from the Party’s register and notified Parliament Speaker of the decision.
