The Bank of Maldives and American Express have organized ‘Experience Maldives’, aimed at promoting tourist destinations in the Maldives.
The campaign was launched by Tourism Minsiter Moosa Zameer on Tuesday hotel, at Hotel Jen in capital city Malé.
Experience Maldives will promote local destinations to American Express’ clients across the globe. 20 island resorts have reportedly signed on with the campaign.
“We are delighted to partner with American Express on this major new destination marketing campaign. This is an important initiative for the country and it will promote Maldives to travelers from across the globe. We are grateful for the strong personal support extended by Minister Zameer, and we will continue to work with the Ministry of Tourism, MATI and other stakeholders to support the industry” Bank of Maldives’ CEO, Andrew Healy, said.
As indicative of the minister’s participation in its inauguration, Experience Maldives has been endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism and the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI).
