The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a manhunt for an individual wanted under allegations of attacking an officer.
Wanted in connection with the case is Mohamed Ansaam Ibrahim, 23 and native to Fuvahmulah City.
He is being sought in connection with the assault on a police officer, as well as connections with a drug case.
The suspect is to be taken into police custody under a court order, under accusations of being involved in a gang attack on an officer reported on May 21.
The public has been urged to contact the Hulhumalé Police Station on 3035335 or the police hotline 3322111 if any information regarding the suspect is obtained.
