Dhiraagu has signed on as the Development Partner of Skate Maldives.
In a press release issued during the weekend, the telecommunications giant revealed that they signed on as the Development Partner of Skate Maldives for 2023-2024.
Through the partnership with the officially registered, national association for skating in the Maldives, the telecom provider will be assisting Skate Maldives to host different competitions in the Maldives, both at national and international levels.
Skate Maldives recently hosted the second international roller skating championship from May 11 – 13 in the ‘Usfasgandu’ region in the capital Malé City and the Hulhumalé Competition area.
Skaters from the Maldives and abroad participated in the event.
Speaking regarding the partnership with Skate Maldives, Assistant Brand Manager at Dhiraagu, Naiya Shareef expressed delight in becoming the development partner for the association, through which Dhiraagu will be supporting the promotion and development of roller skating as a competitive sport in the Maldives.

Further speaking on the partnership, President of Skate Maldives, Mohamed Hanim expressed gratitude to the telecom giant for their active participation and contribution towards the development of different sports in communities nationwide.
Hanim expressed keen interest to collaborate with Dhiraagu to train skaters nationwide to compete at regional and international level.
Through sports and recreation, Dhiraagu continues to support and collaborate on projects which strengthen communities across the island nation.
