A tourist has died after being hit by a dinghy, while snorkeling.
A media official at the Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the tourist died after being hit by a dinghy, while snorkeling off Thulusdhoo island in Kaafu atoll.
The police institution received reports of the incident at around 11:10am on Sunday.
According to MPS, the tourist was pronounced dead upon being taken to the Thulusdhoo Health Center.
As such, health center officials are to have reported that the tourist was dead when brought in.
The tourist has been identified as a 52-year-old man from Poland.
Further investigations into the death, are currently underway.
