One of the island nation’s most-supported football clubs, New Radiant Sports Club has amended its basic regulations with which the number of the club’s board members, has been increased.

In a statement issued on Saturday, New Radiant SC revealed that they had concluded a general assembly during which a resolution was passed to bring amendments to the club’s basic guidelines and regulations.

As such, a significant change was brought to the club’s board.

The number of members on the club’s governing board has since been increased to 17 from nine.

The added positions include two Vice Chairmen, alongside the two already included among the nine board members prior to the amendment.

With this, four Vice Chairmen will be included in New Radiant SC’s governing board henceforth.

The club has also opened applications for the additional positions including the Vice Chairmen positions, five board members as well as an attorney to represent the club.

The deadline has been set at January 13.

The statement issued by the club goes on to specify that a monthly donation will be collected from the board members. A specific amount was not mentioned in the statement.

According to the club, the changes were brought in a bid to improve the management of the club and pave the path to manage and run the club in a sustainable manner.

New Radiant SC’s current chairman is Ahmed Wasif.

The current governing board saved the club from the imminent threat of suspension.

New Radiant SC will have to compete in the second division in 2023, as the club failed to be promoted to the first division last year.
