An individual has been summoned for questioning regarding an ongoing investigation.
In a press release on Thursday, Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the individual is being summoned for questioning in regards to an investigation, being carried out by Hulhumalé Phase I police station.
The summon was issued publicly as the authority’s efforts to locate the man have been to no avail as his address remains unknown and as the person’s family is also unclear on his whereabouts.
The summon was issued in accordance with Section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police in investigating criminal cases.
The man summoned for questioning is Mohamed Zayan Abdulla, 20, native of Hithadhoo island in Seenu atoll.
Zayan has been instructed to present himself to the Hulhumalé Phase I police station at 11:30am on December 8.
