Kulhudhuffushi North Constituency MP Abdul Ghafoor Moosa says that ‘these are the last episodes’ for the Government, adding that the Government, right now did not have many cards to play.
Speaking in the debate session of the Parliament on Wednesday, MP Ghafoor said the Government intended to bring changes to the Judges bench of the High Court in a bid to control the Courts. He said while the Government alleged they had not influenced judges, but stressed the Judges are living in fear.
The Parliamentarian vowed to bring an end to intimidation of this nature, perpetrated by the Government.
He further said the Government had not let up their actions even in the month of Ramadan. Noting that people were jailed indiscriminately, MP Ghafoor said this was a cruel miscarriage of justice.
Pointing to Parliament Speaker Abdullah Maseeh, MP Ghafoor warned that ‘these were the last episodes’ for the Government.
