Those jailed on trumped up charges will be freed soon: Maleeh
Do not understand what the Govt. gained by jailing Mahloof
Will see positive changes from the Parliament
Pres. Yameen has the support of only 3 percent

Former Youth Minister Mohamed Maleeh Jamaal has stated that those jailed during President Abdullah Yameen’s tenure on trumped up charges will soon be freed and the nation will see the establishment of the rule that was truly for the people.

Speaking in the rally held by opposition Maldivian United Opposition (MUO) to mark the release of Galolhu South MP Ahmed Mahloof, Maleeh said that the opposition will continue to speak of the unconstitutional acts of the Government. He reiterated the opposition will not cease their work for the rights of public.

Maleeh questioned on what the Government had gained by jailing Mahloof, adding that Mahloof had earned the respect, love and adoration of the public.

‘What had the Government gained by jailing Mahloof? Today Mahloof earned his release, winning the love and admiration of Maldivians. We’re not hesitant of any action the Government takes, we’ll not step back even at the threat of jail,’ Maleeh said.

Maleeh assured the work of opposition will yield results soon, adding that positive results will be seen from the Parliament. He noted that they will be able to establish a rule that was truly for the people.

Noting that President Yameen had the support of only three percent of the population, Maleeh said President Yameen was increasingly isolated. He concluded by calling on the Government to release Adam Azim.
