Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened a self-service banking ATM center in Hirilandhoo island of Thaa atoll.

In an effort to support the island community and the national bank’s ongoing efforts to expand its services in outlying atolls in support of island communities, BML opened the center in Hirilandhoo island on Wednesday.

These centers will support individuals and businesses in depositing and transferring money on a round-the-clock basis, in addition to the general cash withdrawal service. The center houses a state-of-the-art multi-functional ATM and the bank has been continually investing in efforts to support local communities, BML revealed in a statement.

Timothy Sawyer, the bank’s CEO and Managing Director revealed that the center will benefit the people and businesses of the island.

He also added that the center will ensure that convenient banking services are widely accessible.

BML currently has a branch with self-service banking facilities in Guraidhoo and Veymandoo as well as a self-service banking ATM center in Thimarafushi in addition to the new center.

BML remains committed to support individuals, businesses and communities across the nation, with a nationwide network of 35 branches across all 20 atolls, 80 self-service banking centers, 138 ATMs, over 200 agents and a full suite of digital banking services.
