Finance Ministry on Monday revealed that Islamic Development Bank is to provide US$ 117 million (MVR 1.8 billion) for the Maldives for development projects run by the Government.
The Ministry said the aid was secured during the meetings held between IDB officials and Minister Ahmed Munawwar. The Minister had taken part in IDB’s annual meeting held from the 16th to the 21st of this month.
Finance Ministry said the IDB will finance infrastructure development projects and waste management projects in the country.
Finance Ministry added that Minister Munawwar had shared details of ongoing development projects with IDB President Dr. Bandar MH Hajjar.
