Aasandha Company’s Managing Director Maumoon Abdul Samad has been removed from the position and replaced by Hassan Ali, the former Controller of Immigration.
While the Aasandha Company is yet to make any statements, the spokesperson at the President’s Office said that there have been changes brought to the public sector based on cabinet consultation.

Hassan Ali had previously served in the Housing Ministry and as the registrar at the High Court.
Maumoon Abdul Samad has now been assigned as a deputy minister at the Housing Ministry. Reports of his termination had surfaced earlier on Thursday, though they were refuted by the privatization board, the government body charged with regulating public sector companies.
Last week, Mujthaba Jaleel, the CEO of the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA), the statutory body presiding over Aasandha, has been removed from his position and reassigned as a deputy minister as the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
