Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has entered the premises of Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA).

MMA media official refused to issue a comment on the entry, adding that the relevant authority will reveal any relevant information, when appropriate to do so. However, the official had not denied that a search of MMA was ongoing.

Speaking to Raajje.mv, ACC media official said that any information regarding an ongoing investigation cannot be revealed.

ACC entered the premises on Monday night and as of now, the reasons for the entry are unclear.

MMA Governor, Dr. Azeema Adam is currently abroad.
