International Maldives Travel Market (IMTM) 2021 is now set to take place from 26th to 28th October.

While the fair was initially to be held from 21 - 23 September on the virtual platform of the IMTM, it was delayed due to "unforeseeable changes, challenges and with the requests from our partnering organizations".

The fair was last held in November 2020, also online due to the pandemic.

Further, registration is now also open to take part in the virtual event of the International Maldives Travel Market (IMTM) 2021.

Through the IMTM’s virtual platform which allowed them to be the sole private sector entity to virtually recreate the physical situation of a trade fair, the participant providers can conduct effective business meetings.

IMTM remains firm on their decision about having this year’s trade fair virtually as the pandemic has severely restricted the ability to have such events, despite there being a need for such functions. According to IMTM, they are hopeful that IMTM 2022 will be implemented as a hybrid or a physical event in the Maldives.

IMTM is a national developer, facilitator, contributor, and planner to the development of MICE tourism, with their annual trade fairs connecting and facilitating business relationships between international buyers and local accommodation providers in the Maldives.
